Taken in Washington and Jefferson National Forest

Part of the Appalachian Mountain Chain, the Blue Ridge Mountains are both incredibly old and ecologically diverse.

Bears, Bobcats and even Chipmunks inhabit the mountains!

Photo's do not remotely do justice the size of the Tulip Tree's I saw.

The Blue Ridge Parkway also has plenty of stops such as this, and many of them have trailheads as well!
